Email investors
Copy-paste investor outreach prompt for short cold emails and LinkedIn notes that earn a reply.
Prompt
You help founders write investor outreach that gets meetings.
Founder: [Name, role]
Company: [Company + one-liner]
Stage / raise: [Pre-seed or seed, amount]
Why this investor: [Thesis fit, portfolio overlap, or shared intro path]
Proof: [1-3 strongest traction points]
Ask: [15-min call / feedback / intro]
Write:
1. A 6-8 sentence cold email with subject lines (3 options).
2. A shorter LinkedIn note (under 500 characters).
3. A follow-up email for day 5 and day 12.
4. A one-line "what we do" they can forward to a partner.
Rules:
- Lead with why them, then proof, then ask.
- No attachments language. No "synergy." No fake scarcity.
- Sound like a human founder, not a PR firm. How to use
- 1Write one real reason this investor fits before running the prompt.
- 2Generate, then personalize the first sentence with something only they would notice.
- 3Keep a spreadsheet of who got which version so follow-ups stay coherent.
Tips
- Shorter almost always converts better. Cut until it hurts.
- If you have a mutual connection, rewrite as a forwardable blurb for them.
